COVID-19 Updates

COVID-19 Update April 21, 2020

To help serve our patients, Pain Relief and Physical Therapy will remain OPEN,  we are also offering TELEHEALTH appointments. Our priority is the health and well-being of our patients as they continue to maintain and achieve a healthy lifestyle through physical therapy. For our facility to remain open during this time, we are informing you of our most recent updates to coincide with the CDC recommendations in regards to COVID-19. This Practice is categorized as an "outpatient care center" under the subheading of "Ambulatory Health Care Services" which comes under Health Care and Social Assistance category in Governor Wolf's 2020 - Industry Operation Guidance updated 5:45pm, March 21, 2020. During the new Stay At Home Order we are here to provide a first point of contact for the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. We have been contacted by local physician groups inquiring if we are still operating as they are focused upon the demands related to COVID-19 and other illnesses.

Our practice would like to update you on all precautions and procedures we are pursuing  to ensure the safest possible environment for our patients and staff. We are deeply committed to the health of our clients as well as our staff. Please read thoroughly as we will address all concerns.

Enhanced Procedures:

  • All equipment [treatment tables, therabands, kettlebells, total gym, etc.] will be thoroughly disinfected after each patient use.
  • Disinfectant wipes are also available for patients to personally clean equipment before and after use if they so wish.
  • Frequently touched objects and surfaces are cleaned and disinfected repeatedly throughout the day (sink handles, doorknobs, chairs, etc.)
  • Each patient is provided a freshly cleaned towel and pillowcase.
  • We use non-irritating, fragrance-free cleaning supplies that consist of hospital grade hydrogen peroxide, lysol cleaning wipes, and lysol disinfectant spray.
  • Our front desk area is wiped down and disinfected with lysol cleaning wipes multiple times a day.
  • Chairs in the waiting room will be separated for social distancing purposes, as well as our treatment tables to abide by the CDC standards.
  • All employees are required to wear masks while they are working.
  • NO employee is permitted to work if he/she feels unwell, or shows any cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms including [but not limited to] upper respiratory tract infection, cough, runny nose or fever.

Guest Precautions:

  • Patients are required to wear masks while in the facility.
  • Patients are required to have their temperature taken when entering the facility.
  • Patients are required to wash their hands when entering and exiting the facility.
  • Patients no longer sign in using a pen/paper system and our receptionist will sign everyone in.
  • Please avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth, and face before, during and after your treatment. PRPT will provide clean towels for patients to use to wipe their face if necessary while participating in physical therapy.
  • Please cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and throw the tissue in a trash can.

Most importantly, if you feel even slightly under the weather, if you have a cough, fever or runny nose, please remain at home. We are pausing our cancellation policy, so if you need to cancel due to health concerns,  any fee will be waived. We are happy to reschedule you over the phone (610-789-9887).
